About six weeks after Beyoncé made a surprise appearance at the world premiere of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, Swift returned the favor, showing up tonight at the London premiere of Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé.
Swift was even on point with the color scheme, wearing a sparkling silver gown. That’s the hue Beyoncé requested fans wear to some of her tour dates and, in fact, often sported herself onstage.
Beyoncé herself was decked out in silver – with platinum hair to match – at a screening for the film at the Academy earlier this week.
Tonight, however, the Renaissance woman opted for a black ensemble, though she kept the platinum hair.

That Swift would show for Beyoncé’s big moment makes sense in more ways than one. There’s the payback aspect, but both films are also being distributed through AMC. It’s just good business for AMC CEO Adam Aron to have the stars support each other. (Aron was at Swift’s premiere and Beyonce‘s L.A. screening, too.)
AMC is hoping Renaissance will liven up what typically is a dull frame at the box office — the post-Thanksgiving/early December downer corridor — with what’s looking like a $30M global opening, maybe $40M. Stay tuned on that.
